Welcome to my personal photography site. I hope you will enjoy looking at the images, and invite you to leave any comments. And I would be delighted to answer any questions about photographic technique or equipment used, places I've traveled and photographed, and lessons learned. I especially wish to thank the many dedicated Civil War and Colonial reenactors who I have had the honor to meet, and who have tolerated my camera's intrusion into their setting. They are true historians, both Union and Confederate, Tory and Whig. I also wish to acknowledge the efforts by the staff at Duke University's "Sarah P. Duke Gardens", North Carolina State University's "J.C. Ralston Arboretum", and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's "North Carolina Botanical Garden" for planting and tending to the many flowering attractions I have photographed for free. Finally, I need to thank the many vendors at the Raleigh Flea Market who allow me to document their collectibles for sale, even when I haven't always bought something from them in return.

For inquires about how to obtain a high resolution copy of any of these digital images, please contact me at one of the e-mail addresses shown below. Thanks to all for generating nearly 650,000 separate "photo clicks" to this photo web site since it was first established in April 2010.

All images are copyright protected, and may not be used for advertisement, publication or media broadcast without prior written authorization by me.

Most images shown were photographed with an Olympus E-3 or E-5 digital SLR, the newer micro four thirds Olympus E-M5 OM-D and the following Olympus Zuiko lens: 12-60mm, 50-200mm, 25mm, 50mm macro. In addition, I have also used several Olympus PEN series micro four thirds mirrorless cameras, to include the PEN E-P3, E-P2 and E-PL2. A few earlier images shown here were photographed with the Canon 5D, Canon G9, Nikon D200 & D300. As of June 2012, I have traded in all Olympus DSLR gear and switched over completely to the "micro four thirds" (or mirrorless) format, and now exclusively use the new Olympus E-M5 OM-D camera.
